Mamie Bele Musall Farmer

Mamie Belle Musall Farmer, 88, Chalmers died Sunday, May 2, in White Co. Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since April 28th. She had been ill for the past several years.

She was born Jan. 6, 1905, to S.F. and Estella C. Sharp Musall, in White County and she was married June 28, 1924, to Clyde M. Fanner in St. Joseph, Michigan. He died Nov. 27, 1951.

She had lived since 1946, in Chalmers.

She was a member of Chalmers Community Church and a life member of Chalmers American Legion.

Survivors include two daughters; Mrs Ellen R. Jenkins, Delphi and Mrs. Gene (Donnabelle) Hughes, R.1, Chalmers; a son, Willard F., Chalmers; 12 grand children and 19 great grand children.

A son, Russell served in the U.S. Marines Corps and was killed in action, March 1945.

Also deceased are four brothers; Oliver, Bill, Bob and Raymond; a grandson, David Jenkins; and a great grandson, Joseph "Joey" Jenkins.

The funeral was Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Rev. Loren Shuman officiating.

Burial was in Chalmers Community Cemetery.
