Bob E. Farley, 72, of Brookston, died Sunday. March 9, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. He had been ill for the past six months.
He was born on January 30, 1931, in Monon, to Troy and Edna Emberton Farley. He married Catherine O'Connor on June 22, 1963, in El Paso, Illinois. She survives.
He was a 1950 graduate of Monticello High School. He was a 1955 Purdue University graduate, and earned his master's degree in education from St. Francis College.
He served in Korea in the U.S. Army.
He had lived in Brookston since 1973 after moving from Monon.
He was a schoolteacher who taught agriculture and science at North White Junior-Senior High School for 30 years, and retired in 1987. Prior to that, he taught in Royal Center and Roanoke.
He was a member of Sitka Baptist Church.
Surviving with his wife are a daughter Susan (Steve) Morris of Westerville, Ohio and grandsons, Phillip and Connor Morris.
Funeral Services were Tuesday, March 11, at Hartzler Funeral Home.
Burial was at Chalmers Community Cemetery.
