Ellen Lorene Era [sic], 95, of Fort Wayne, a former Monon resident, died Thursday, May 29, 2003 at Heritage Park Nursing Home in Fort Wayne.

She was born at Monon on August 27, 1907, to Simeon and Aleatha Whiteman Marion. She married Loren E. Ezra on April 25, 1937. He died in 1968.

She was a graduate of Monon High School.

She had lived in Monon for 29 years, Francesville for 32 years, Indianapolis for 12 years and Fort Wayne for two and a half years.

She was a member of the Buffalo Church of the Brethren.

Survivors include a son, Gary L. (Jeanette) Ezra of Liberty, Mo.; daughters Norma D. (Sam) Gunnerson of Scottsdale, Ariz, Alma M. Simpson of Fort Wayne and Violet Davis of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister Violet Hirt of Monticello; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday, June 2, 2003 at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home in Monticello with Rev. John Mishler officiating.

Burial was at McKinley Memorial Gardens, Winamac.
