Esther L. Elston, 90, of Jacksonville, Fla., and formerly of Monon, died Wednesday, December 17, 2003, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville. She had been in ill health for the past year.
She was born October 2, 1913 in Monticello, the daughter of Lucien and Stella Wilson Clerget. She married Roscoc P. Elston on December 13, 1936 in Monticello. He died April 7, 1994.
She had lived in Jacksonville for the past 6 years, moving there from Sebring, Fla. She spent her summers in the Monon area.
She was a member of the Geneva Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Fla.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Loretta (Melvin) Garling of Francesville, Velda (Thomas) Gunning of Indianapolis and Marjorie (David) Orr of Jacksonville.
Six brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were at Kellogg Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Copeland officiating.
Burial was in Bedford Cemetery.
