Oliver
E. Eberle, 81, Brookston, died Friday, Dec. 27, at St. Elizabeth Hospital,
Lafayette. He had been in failing health since November.
He was born Nov. 26, 1916, to Alexander and Johannah Loges Eberle, in Round Grove Township, White Coimty. He was married March 23, 1940 to Joan Comer, in West Lafayette, and she survives.
He graduated in 1933, the first graduating class of Round Grove Nigh School.
He was a farmer and served on various White County 4-H Fair committees.
He also served on several A.S.C, committees and on the Wolcott School Board.
Mr. Eberle enjoyed pitching horseshoes and playing cards.
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Margaret Foutch, Chalmers and Janet Eberle, Indianapolis; a son, Lynn of Fowler; two grandsons, Brian and Craig Foutch and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Robin Foutch.
Two brothers and a sister are deceased.
The funeral was Monday at Hartzler Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Prowse officiating.
Burial was in Brookston at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
