She was born Oct. 20, 1918, to John E. and Golda M. Gibson Comer, in Burnettsville. She was married March 23, 1940, to Oliver E. Eberle in West Lafayette, and he died Dec. 27, 1996.
She graduated from Round Grove High School in 1936 and a 1939 graduate of Home Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a homemaker and worked at Home Hospital for two years.
She was a member of the former Pine Grove Methodist Church and a member of the Round Grove Home Demonstration club.
She had lived all her life in Round Grove Township.
She enjoyed playing cards and playing games with her grandchildren. She followed the migration of the sandhill cranes at Pulaski County.
She is survived by daughters, Janet Eberle, Indianapolis and Margaret Foutch, Chalmers; son, Lynn (Karen) Eberle of Fowler; brother , J. Robert Comer, of Mulberry; sister, Geneve Ann Mitchell of Bowling Green, KY.; grandsons, Brian (Deanna) Foutch and Craig (Dana) Foutch; great grandson, Jacob Foutch; great granddaughters. Robin and Olivia Foutch; and stepgreat grandchildren, Jon and Brently Watson.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Pastor James Childress officiating.
Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston.
