He was born April 22, 1907, to Paul Hugh and Rosa Kathryn (Sheets) DuVall, in White County. He was married June 29, 1941, to Velda Ruth Gilmore and she died Jan. 15, 1987.
He lived in White County most of his life and lived in Buffalo since 1957.
He was a grain and dairy farmer all his life.
He was a member of the Buffalo Brethren Church, where he served as a deacon and trustee.
He is survived by sons, Jack (Ruth) DuVall of Buffalo and Marvin (Alva) DuVall of Lebanon, Tennessee, daughters, Janice (Wayne) Spencer of Boise, Idaho and Kay (Joe) Martinez of Fort Wayne; a son-in-law, Bill Christian of Monticello; a sister, Ruth DuVall of Monon; nine grandchildren and a great grandson.
A daughter, Carol Christian, a grandson, five brothers and three sisters are deceased. His son, Dean DuVall has been missing in action in Vietnam since March 13, 1966.
Services were Saturday at the Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello, with Dr. James Elliott officiating.
Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery.
