James K. "Kenny" Duncan

James K. "Kenny" Duncan, 85, of Manitowish Waters, WI, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at his residence.

He was born February 12, 1920 at Belshaw to William Floyd and Estelle M. (Simpson) Duncan.

He married Betty Lou Nomanson at Crown Point on June 8, 1946. She survives.

He was a World War II veteran and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 101 at Lowell, the VFW, DAV, Purple Heart Association, Battle of the Bulge Association and a charter member of the Monon Eagles No. 2788.

He farmed in Lowell, Monon, Spencer, WI and Ewen, MI.

He was a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Dairy Manufacturing. He also played basketball at Purdue University and enjoyed many games with his family.

After retiring from farming, his favorite hobby was gardening. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling, hunting and sports.

Other survivors include son, Jerry (Anita) Duncan of Manitowish Waters, WI; four daughters, Ginny (Dale) VanMeter of Monon, Linda (Rudy) Owens of Monticello, Karen (Chuck) King of Ewen, MI and Joyce (Rick) Clem of Winchester, WI; 11 grandsons, three granddaughters, 13 great-grandchildren.

Sons, Larry and Terry are deceased.

Funeral services were Saturday, April 2, 2004 at Sheets Funeral Home in Lowell, IN with Pastor Charles Hochmuth officiating.

Burial was at Lake Prairie Cemetery in Lowell.
