Rita Jo Downard

Rita Jo Downard, 55, of Monticello, died Sunday, March 13, 2005 at White County Memorial Hospital.

She was born at Lafayette on May 1, 1949, to Charles A. and Doris L. (Rogers) Downard.

She had lived in the Monticello community most of her life.

She was a 1967 graduate of North White High School and a 1971 graduate of Indiana University.

She taught high school at North White for a couple of years. She had worked at CDC Resources Inc. at both Monticello and Rensselaer for several years and was a social worker at Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation in Logansport the last 18 years.

She was a former member of the Monon United Methodist Church. She was a member of AM/VETS Auxiliary in Monticello.

She loved cats and gardening, especially her flowers.

Survivors include sister, Diana Foddrill of Monticello; niece Jenelle Foddrill of Monticello and nephew Michael Foddrill of Valparaiso.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm [sic] today at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home in Monticello.

Funeral services will be at 10 am [sic] Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. James Copeland officiating.

Burial will be at Bedford Cemetery.
