Harold L Dobbins

Harold I. "Dobbie" Dobbins, 74, of Wolcott, died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, in Lafayette Home Hospital.

He was born Sept. 10, 1930, in Niles Mich. to Harold and Esther (Blackwood) Dobbins. He married Carolyn J. Roberts on Aug. 12, 1982 in the Remington Christian Church. She survives.

He was a 1949 graduate of Remington High School.

He and his wife are members of the Palestine Christian Church.

He worked at Indiana Ribbon as a machinist for over 45 years until retiring.

Other survivors include his children, Judiane (Steven) Burton of Brookston and Mark (Jackie) Dobbins of Boswell; stepchildren, Pam Wolff of Dyer, Frank Tokar of Florida, Brian Tokar of Elmhurst, Ill, Becky (Doug) Franklin of Remington and Donald (Dawn) Vantil of Schererville; a sister, Norma Bahler of Remington; a brother, Edwin Dobbins of Ft. Wayne; five grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and five step-great-grandchildren.

An infant daughter, Rebecca Dobbins; and [sic] infant brother; and an infant grandson, Craig Burton are deceased.

Funeral services were Friday at the Palestine Christian Church with Foster-Clapper Funeral Home, Wolcott in charge of services.

Burial was in Remington Cemetery.
