Robert J. Deweese, Brookston, died Saturday, Apr at 10:45 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, where he been admitted, Friday.

He was born Nov. 8, 1915 to Joseph and Flora Robertson Deweese, in Brookston. He was married July 8, 1943, to Maxine Turner, in Lafayette. She survives.

 He graduated in 1933, from Brookston High School and attended Kankakee Business College.

During World War II, he served in the Navy. In 1976, he moved to Florida and five years ago returned to Brookston.

He retired in 1975, from TRW in Lafayette, where he was employed for 35 years.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 2387 in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Surviving with his wife and daughter, Mrs Norm (Cheryl) Sanders, Coral Springs, Fl.; one son, Randy, Crown Point; and four grandchildren. One brother is deceased.

The funeral was Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, the Rev Carl Malmgren officiating.
