Grant "Bud" DeVault, 79, of Reynolds died Tuesday, January 13, 2004, at home. He had been ill since 1982.
He was born at Monon on February 4, 1924 to Charles and Mildred Conwell DeVault. He married Betty VanVoorst Mason DeVault at Scottsburg on November 14, 1952. She survives.
He lived most of his life in Monon and moved to Reynolds in 1999.
He was a lifetime farmer and cattleman. He retired in 1982.
He was a 42-year member of the Monon Eagles Lodge.
He was affiliated with the Monon Community Church.
He enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler.
He enjoyed his friends.
Other survivors include sons, Everett DeVault of Reynolds and James (Mclynic) Mason of Monticello; sisters Dixie Cade of Monon, Patricia Nord of Monon and Charlene (Jack) Reppert of Rossvillc; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
One sister and one brother are deceased.
Funeral services were Friday at Kellogg Funeral Home in Monon with Pastor Don Newman and Brother Brian Huber officiating.
Burial was in Bedford Cemetery.
