Esther Edna DeVault, 96, former Monon resident, died on Friday, December 12, 2003 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare in Monticello. She had been ill for two months.
She was born at Livingston County, Ill., on August 21, 1907 to Julius and Marie Beth Honegger.
She married Frank L. DeVault on October 8, 1927 in Winamac. He died on March 18, 1979.
She graduated from Francesville High School in 1925.
She had lived in Monon most of her life and had resided at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare since June 21, 1999.
She was a homemaker and had worked at the RCA plant in Monticello for 10 years and the Kingsbury Ammunition Plant.
She was a member of the Monon Community Church.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Marjorie DeVault of Reynolds, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
One son, seven sisters and three brothers are deceased.
Funeral services were today at Keliogg Funeral Home with Pastor Don Newman officiating.
Burial was in Bedford Cemetery in Monon.
