Patricia Mahin DeRudder, 56, R.1, Chalmers, died Tuesday, Sept 13, at 3:55 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, Lafayette. She had been a patient there since Sunday and was in failing health for several years.
Mrs DeRudder was manager of the family farm at R.1, Chalmers and formerly taught elementary school.
She born June 6, 1932 in Lafayette and graduated from Chalmers High School in 1950. She received her bachelor's degree in elementary education at Indiana University.
She attended Chalmers Community Church; was a life member of Purdue and IU alumni associations; a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; Alpha Omicron Phi at IU and Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority in Chalmers. She was active in the Republican party and was a Home Hospital volunteer.
Surviving
are a daughter, Mrs Kenneth (Erin) Anliker, R.1, Reynolds; and one son,
Eric DeRudder, R.2, Brookston. Two
grandsons
also survive. A sister, Dorothy, preceded in death.
Service will be at Chalmers Community Church at 7:30 p.m. Thursday with the Rev Loren Shuman officiating. Cremation will follow. Prior to the service the family will receive friends for one hour. Memorials to Chalmers Community Church or charity of donor's cbolce.
