Wanda L. Denton 61, of Monon, died Friday, August 20, 2004 at Rensselaer Care Center.
She had been ill for 15 years.
She was born at Milford, IL on February 26, 1943.
She married Dennis Denton on June 23, 1961. He survives.
She was a 1960 graduate of Kentland High School.
She was a waitress and homemaker.
She had worked as a waitress for nine years at the Union 76 Truck Stop in Remington and for two years at Ila's Diner in Monon.
She attended Morton Wesleyan Church.
Other survivors include a daughter Deniese [sic] (Joey) Denton of Monon; a step-daughter, Monica (Josh) Henney of Columbia City, long time companion Lee Zumwalt of Monon; brother Kerry (Karen) Morton of Monon and Kevin Morton of Okechobee, FL; nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dogs, Chico, Sugar, Banjit and Lil Bit.
No visitation or services were planned. There was a direct cremation.
