Gay Anderson Delaney, 70, 205 High School Ave., Battle Ground, died Monday of an apparent heart attack.

She was born August 21, 1920 in Lafayette to Charles and Jenny Layton. A homemaker, her first marriage was to Harold J. Anderson in Lafayette on July 20, 1935. He died July 21, 1966. Her second marriage was to Owen Delaney in April 1987. He died in November 1987.

She had lived with her close friend, Harold C. Cochran in Lafayette.

Survivors include one son, Otis C. Anderson of Battle Ground; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Sandra) Snider, Monticello, and Mrs. Greg (Vickie) Carter; Booneville, IN; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by 4 brothers, 6 sisters and a grandson, Jeff Snider.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. today at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Rev. Lelan McReynolds officiating. Burial was in Pretty Prairie Cemetery near Battle Ground.
