Terrell Wright Dawkins

Terrell Wright Dawkins, 80, of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, retired co-owner of Dawkins Electric Co., died of respiratory failure, July 17, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East.

He was the husband of Geneva Long Dawkins and the widower of Evelyn Wynkoop Dawkins.

He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church in Fort Myers, a former deacon and Sunday school director of Bellevue Baptist Church.

He was a 33rd degree Mason. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in electrical engineering.

Survivors are three sons, Robert Terrell and Charles Tate, both of Memphis, James Lee of Dallas, a step-daughter, Dixie Brown of Monon, a brother, B. Tate Dawkins Jr. of Memphis, and seven grandchildren.

Services and burial were held July 21st in Memphis.
