Elda V. Davis, 57, of Rensselaer died, Saturday, September 18, 2004 in Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer.

She was born May 16, 1947, in Francesville, the daughter of James and Leatrice Joy Bailey Whitaker.

She married Kenneth R. Davis on December 16, 1968 in Monon. He survives.

The couple had lived in Rensselaer for the past 7 years.

She was a member of the Monon United Methodist Church.

She was retired from the U. S. Postal Service, Monon Post Office. She worked with her husband at K & E Quarter Horses, in Rensselaer.

Other survivors include a son, Kenneth R. (Laurie) Davis II of Burnettsville; a daughter, Tanya (Steven) Klopfenstein of Monon; a brothor Les (Shirley) Whitaker of Francessville, and a sister A'Della Whitaker, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday at Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home in Francesville, with Rev. Matt Pickut officiating.
