Denzil "Hugh" Daulton, 58, R.1, Delphi, died June 28, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, Lafayette. He had been ill for the last 18 months.
He was born Sept. 18, 1932, to Willie and Oma Tarter Daulton, in Nancy, Ky. He was married March 17, 1957, to Leta L Cade, in Reynolds. She survives.
He was an Army veteran in the Korean War and an avid fisherman and bowler. He moved to Delphi, from Kentucky, 18 years ago. He was a heavy equipment operator.
He was a member of White Oak Baptist Church at Nancy, Ky., the Delphi American Legion Post, the Lafayette Moose Lodge, and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 103, Kokomo.
Surviving with his wife and father, who lives in Boswell, are two daughters, Rebecca L. Klooz, R.2, Brookston and Kimberly Stevens, Monticello; two sisters, Gladys Sharp and Roberta Leinberger, both of Boswell; and six grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased.
The funeral was Friday in Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home, Monticello, the Rev. Donald Osten officiating.
Graveside military rites were Saturday at Whitis Cemetery, Nancy, Ky., Dr. James Floyd and the Rev. Walt Jones officiating.
