Robert Lesley Danner, 82, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Thursday, October 30, 2003 in Saint Bernard's Medical Center, Jonesboro, after an extended illness.

He was born August 21, 1921 in White County, Indiana and had resided in Jonesboro since 1983, moving there from South Bend.

He married Joyce E. Owens, in South Bend on October 10, 1981 and she survives.

Other survivors include two daughters; Marlene (Ray) Callander of South Bend and Carolyn (Ken) Kwieran of South Bend; four stepdaughters, Diana Seabers of Rockford, Ill, Rita Beilfuss of Naples, Fla., Vickie Beaber of Naples and Linda (John) Yarbrough of Jonesboro; a son Robert (Chris) Danner of South Bend; a stepson Jerry (Elizabeth) Owens of East Moline, Ill., 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, whom he loved and cherished and two sisters Audrey Libertone of Elkhart and Virginia Schoner of Monon.

Mr. Danner retired from Murphy Motor Freight in 1983 after many years of service. He was a member of Teamsters Local 364 in South Bend.

Funeral Services were held November 4, in South Bend with burial in Monticello.
