Henry A. "Hank" Data, 57, Reynolds died unexpectedly at his home late Tuesday afternoon.
He was born March 24, 1933 in Pulaski County, the son of Emil and Hulda Kruger Dalka. He married Connie Brown Loy on December 5,1981 in Monon. She survives along with three stepsons, John Loy, Monticello and Jerry Loy and Jeff Loy of Reynolds. He is also survived by a daughter, Carla Risner and three sons, Terry Dalka, Doug Dalka and Jeff Dalka all of Winamac. One brother, Charles Dalka of Medaryville also survives. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
An Army veteran, he had spent the past 18 years in law enforcement, serving as a Pulaski County Sheriff's Deputy, Francesville Town Marshal and Monon Town Marshal. His latest employer was T & S Security, Monticello where he worked as a security guard at Rubbermaid plant near Reynolds.
He was a member of the Medaryvifle Masonic Lodge, South Bend Valley of Scottish Rite and Orak Shrine Temple at Michigan City. He was a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and past vice president of the Indiana Town Marshal's Association.
Funeral services will be at Kellogg Funeral Home in Monon at 11:00 a.m. on Friday with Rev. George Thomson officiating. Burial will be in Bedford Cemetery with full military rites.
