Jackson Y. Crowder, 66, of Buffalo, died Friday, September 15, at Heritage Healthcare Center, West Lafayette.
He was born Dec. 19, 1933, to Byno and Eleanora Vanscoy Crowder, in Buffalo.
He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1951 and lived in Buffalo all his life.
He was a carpenter and a stone mason and a member of the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by daughters, Renee (Kevin) Kilbane, Fort Wayne and Jaci (Randy)
Lane, West Lafayette; sons, Jason (Beth) Crowder and Brad Crowder, both of
Monticello; sister, Dorothy Remley of Lucerne; and nine grandchildren.
A sister, Pauline Shields, a brother, Robert Crowder and a daughter, Lisa Ann Crowder are deceased.
A graveside service was Monday at Indian Creek Cemetery near Headlee, with Frank Hicks, officiating. Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello, was in charge.
Memorials may be given to the Department of Natural Resources Division of Fish and Wildlife.
