Genevieve J. Crosby, 77, of Headlee, died Monday, May 26, 2003, at her residence. She had been in failing health for several months.
She was born in White County on March 13, 1926, to Minor and Mary Funk Nice. She married Everett Crosby in White County on June 18, 1944. He survives.
She was a 1944 graduate of Royal Center High School.
She had lived on the same farm in the Headlee community since 1944.
She was a member of the White Oak United Methodist Church and the White Oak Circle of the church.
She loved camping and fishing.
Other survivors include daughters, Linda (Fred) Mosher of Monon and Sharon DuVall (fiance Larry Sims) and Judy (Fred) Hastings, both of Monticello; a son, Steve (Ruthanne "Annie") Crosby of Headlee; a brother, Ralph, Ralph [sic] (Dorothy) Nice of Headlee; 10 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and one step great-granddaughter.
An infant daughter Mary Ann Crosby and a great grandson are deceased.
Funeral Services were Friday, May 30, 2003 at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Rhoades Welling officiating.
Burial was in Pro/Indian Creek Cemetery in Pulaski County.
