Robert O. Conrad Sr., formerly of Lafayette, died Wednesday, May 5, at 11:45 a.m., in Tioga Pines Living Center, Monticello. He had been there three years.

He was born Nov. 20,1899, in Tippecanoe County, near Stockwell. He lived in the Tippecanoe County area most of his life and attended school near Stockwell.

He was married in 1966, to Anna K. Childres in Lafayette, and she died Jan. 31, 1987.

Surviving are seven daughters; Evelyn Switler, Mesquite, Texas; Madelyn Holdeman, Walkerton, Ind.; Marlene Yerk and Maxine Holwerda, both of Brookston; Judith Shumate, Lafayette; Theresa Lewis, Longview, Texas and Karen Duncan, Houston, Texas; and six sons; Robert O. Conrad Jr., Kankakee, Ill.; Gordon Conrad, Mount Ida, Ark.; Thomas Conrad, Orange, Texas; Russell Conrad, Buck Creek; Jerry Conrad and Patrick Conrad, both of Houston, Texas; 40 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren. Three sons, 3 grandchildren are deceased.

Service was Friday, at 2 p.m. in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, with Rev. Robert Smith officiating.

Hahn Funeral Home was in charge.
