Word has been received of the death of Harold D. Connell, 77, of Malvern, Ohio, a former White County resident, who died Dec. 12, 2000, at New Cumberland Nursing Home in Bowerston, Ohio.
He was born June 2, 1923, to Arthur Wesley and Ethel Lena Wilson Connell, in White County.
He attended the Buffalo School. He grew up in the Buffalo and Monticello communities.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was employed in construction.
He is survived by three sisters, Isabelle Lemaich of Knox, Ruth (Jack) Thompson of Chalmers and Grace Doremire of Lafayette; a brother, Oval Connell of Peru and several nieces and nephews.
A sister, Waneta Russow is deceased.
A graveside service was held Saturday, March 10 at 2 p.m. in Bedford Cemetery, Monon.
Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home, Carrollton, Ohio, was in charge of arrangements.
