Margaret W. Coffee

Margaret W. Coffee, 80, Brookston, died approximately 1 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at her residence.

She had lived in Brookston since January of this year, moving from Highland.

She was born May 13, 1918, to Bernard and Clara Rumschleg Wertzberger. in Decatur. She was married Feb. 19, 1941, to Robert E. Coffee in Decatur and he survives.

Sbe was a homemaker.

She was a member of the League of Women Voters, the Lake Michigan Interleague and the Great Decisions Discussion Group. She was a volunteer with a variety of environmental groups.

Surviving with the husband are three sons, Robert of Columbus, Ohio; Terence of Aberdeen, Md. and Richard of Los Angeles; four daughters, Kathleen Coffee of Pittsburg, Kan.; Sharon Gard of Brookston, Mary Draskovich of Los Angeles and Karen Wagner of Whiting; and six grandchildren.

A sister and four brothers are deceased.

Funeral services were Monday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev. John Roof officiating.

Cremation and inurnment will be at a later date.
