Alta Mae Clerget, 75, of 410 Tioga Rd., Monticello, died Tuesday, May 26, at Twin Lakes Village. She had been a resident of Twin Lakes Village for four years.

She was born Jan. 29, 1923, to Mose and Laura Eich Hancock, in DeMotte. She was married Aug. 24, 1947, to Robert Clerget in Monticello. and he survives.

She had lived in the Monticello area most of her life.

She first worked at the herald Journal on the address machine. She then worked at State & Sav ings Bank for several years and cooked for Twin Lakes School Corp. for several years before retiring due to ill health in 1975.

She was a member of the Monticello Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Linda Russell of Decatur, Ala. and Patricia Mohalley of Spring, Texas; three sisters, Millie Foy of Crawfordsville, Helen McCormick of Orr, Minn. and Mabel Hazlett of DeMotte; three brothers, Herman Lee and Ivan Lee both of Monticello and Bernard Lee of Camden; and three grandchildren.

Three brothers and a sister are deceased

Funeral services were Friday at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home with the Rev Don Arterbum officiating.

Burial was in Bedford Cemetery, Monon.

Memorials may be given to the Monticello Christian Church.
