H. Howard Clemans

H. Howard Clemans I, 89, of Buffalo died Sunday, September 24, 2000 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare.

He was born May 28, 1911, in Protim, MO, to Samuel and Molley Raggsdale Clemans. He married Evelyn Hinshaw on September 24, 1963 in Fowler. She survives.

He had lived in the White County area since 1930. He owned and operated Clemans Garage in Buffalo from 1948 until his retirement in 1978.

He was a volunteer firemen in Buffalo and helped build the first Buffalo Fire truck. He also drove a school bus for North White School Corporation.

He is survived by his wife; sons Raymond Clemans of Lehigh Acres, FL, Wayne Clemans of Buffalo and Howard "Sonny" Clemans II of Kewanna; stepdaughters, Rita Adkins of Monon and Shirley Marquess of Buffalo; stepson Kenneth Hinshaw of Marion; brothers Russell Clemans of Florissant, MO and Leonard Clemans of Witchita, KS; sisters Ruth Buck and Esther Hall, both of Florissant. MO; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Three sisters and two brothers are deceased.

Funeral services were Tuesday at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home with Frank Hicks officiating.

Burial will be at Buffalo Cemetery.
