Katherline B. Clear, 88, of Monon, died Friday, September 2, 2005 at White County Memorial Hospital.

She was born on May 9, 1917 in Winchester to Joseph and Goldie Trotter Scolley. She married Ervin A. Clear on March 2, 1935 in Frankfort. He died on October 20, 1991.

She had lived in White County since 1951, coming here from Clinton County. She was a member of the Monon Wesleyan Church, where she was a member of the Wesleyan Women and taught Sunday school for several years.

She was also a member of the Mental Health Association for 27 years.

Survivors include sons, Bruce D. (Sue) Clear of Monticello; Gerald E. (Joan) Clear of Rockfield, Herbert E. (Carolyn) Clear of Flora; daughters Barbara D. Danford of Buffalo, Sharon K. (Denver) Yeck of Monon; 13 grandchildren and one step grandson; 29 great-grandchildren; one step great-grandson; one great-great granddaughter; five sisters and five brothers.

Five brothers and five sisters are deceased.

Funeral services were Tuesday at the Monon Wesleyan Church with Rev. Steve Sparks officiating.

Burial was in Bedford Cemetery.
