Virginia E. Clark
Virginia Elizabeth Clark, 82, of Lafayette, formerly of Battle Ground, died August 31, 2004 in St. Mary's Healthcare Center.
She was born March 7, 1922 in Lafayette to John C. and Elizabeth S. Long Kaufman. She was a 1941 graduate of Battle Ground High School.
Her marriage was to Freeman W. Clark on September 22, 1945 in Battle Ground He died December 25, 2001.
She worked in Catalog Telephone Sales for Sears Roebuck and Company in Lafayette for 25 years, retiring in 1984.
She was a member of the Battle Ground United Methodist Church where she belonged to the United Methodist Women (Women's Society of Christian Service) and the Sears Retirement Club.
She enjoyed sewing, working with plastic canvas and making hook rugs.
Surviving are two daughters, Marilyn (David) Titus of Battle Ground and Nancy L. Ludington of Indianapolis and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were at the Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston. Burial was private.
Memorials may be made to the Battle Ground United Methodist Church or the Parkinson's Foundation.
