Robert Melvin Chilcott, 74, Reynolds, died Saturday, April 1st, at Twin Lakes Village.
He was born June 17, 1925, to Gilbert and Elda Houts Chilcott, in Monticello. He was married April 12, 1947, to Mary Weston in Monticello and she survives.
He lived in White County all of his life.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a pharmacist.
He retired from Hornback-Sickler construction in 1988. He also worked at Indiana Beach for the past few years.
He was a member of the Monticello Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, daughters, Teresa (William) Setley and Darla (Darrel) Schultz, both of Texas, Janet (Kary) Harshbarger, Frankfort and Peggy M. Anderson, Monticello; sons, Charles (Betty) Chilcott, Kokomo and Joseph D. Chilcott, Monticello; sisters, Roberta R. Wilson, Reynolds and Doris (James) Cuip, Monon; brothers, Floyd (Alwayne) Chilcott, Hampton, Virginia and Charles (Iva Jean) Halsema, Monticello; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
A son, Robert Chilcott, is deceased.
Funeral service was today (April 5) at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello, with the Rev. James R. Copelarid officiating.
Burial will be at a later date.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
