Dale L. Chapman, 78, of Monon died Friday, June 15, 2001 at Jasper County Memorial Hospital, Rensselaer. He had been in ill health for one year.

He was born in Jasper County on August 11, 1922, to Alonzo Steven and Irene Marie Marchad Chapman. He married Doris Emagean Overton in Monon on February 23, 1947. She is deceased.

He worked at RCA and retired after 36 years of employment.

He is survived by a daughter, Carol Eisele of Monon; two sons, Dale E. Chapman and Ron Chapman both of Monon; long time companion, Betty Yeater of Monon; a brother, Russell Chapman of Lafayette; three sisters Eva Yerk, of Brookston, Helen Margison of Wolcott, and Marie Ledford of Buffalo; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. One sister is deceased.

Funeral services were Tuesday at Kellogg Funeral Home in Monon with Pastor Matthew Pickut officiating.

Burial was in Milroy Cemetery, Rensselaer.
