Master/Sgt. RETIRED Jack Holt Chamberlain, 63, of Brandon, Florida, and formerly of Chalmers died Sunday, November 26, 2000 in Florida. He was born August 14, 1937 in Lafayette, the son of John B. and Viola M. Holt Chamberlain. He married Sodjit Tubwong on October 29, 1972 in Chalmers. She survives.
He was a 20-year veteran with the U.S. Air Force, retiring Sept. 4, 1979. He had been a mechanic working on airplane engines.
He is survived by his wife, a son Joseph Lee Chamberlain of Brandon; two daughters Pornthip Andrews of Valrico, Fla. and Pornrut Thambundit of Tampa. Fla.; two brothers, Herbert Lee Chamberlain and Max Allen Chamberlain of Chalmers and two sisters, Mary E. (Dennis) Sterrett of Chalmers and Sharon (John) Hruban of Speedway, IN. He had four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 2, 2000 at Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston with Rev. Gerald Stevens offciating.
Burial with full military honors by the Chalmers American Legion Post #268 will be at the Chalmers Community Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hartzler Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. on Friday.
