Charlene Ann Teel Carter, 41, of 14 Lori-Lee Drive, died at 9:35 a.m. Monday in St. Vincent Hos pital, Indianapolis. She had been a patient since April 19.

She was born Dec. 25, 1947, in Lafayette, to Benny and Marjorie Shaffer Teel, of R.2, Brookston, who survive. Her marriage was to James H. Carter, April 21, 1978, in Lafayette. He survives.

She graduated from Chalmers High School in 1965.

She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette.

Surviving with her husband and parents are two sons, Daryl Wayne at home and James Christopher of Rhode Island; one daughter, Kelly J, Rhode Island; four brothers, Ralph Teel, of Schneider, Max Teel, Monticello, Lynn Teel, R.1, Chalmers and Randy Teel, Wolcott.

The funeral will be tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette, with Pastor Tim Turner and Pastor William Goode officiating. Friends may call from 5-9 today at the church and one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are being handled by Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston.

Burial will be in Chalmers Community Cemetery.
