R. Dean Carlson, 63, Monticello, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 6:30 p.m. in Lafayette Home Hospital. He had been in poor health for several years.
He was born October 10, 1935, to Richard R. and Vernise Spencer Carlson, in Monon.
He graduated in 1953, from Monon High School.
He had lived in White County all his life.
He had farmed all of his life and had worked at RCA for 28 years, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of the Monticello Redmens, Eagles and Moose Lodges.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs Les (Pamela S.) Howard of Monticello; a son, Phillip D. of Francesville; his mother, of Monon; three sisters, Mrs Edmond (Rachel) Carr and Mrs Robert (Imogene) McLean, both of Clearwater, Florida and Mrs Fred (Lois) Newman of Lafayette; a brother, Duane of Monon and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Voorhis Draper Funeral Home, Monticello, with the Rev. Jeff Messer officiating
Burial was in Bedford Cemetery, Monon.
