LESLIE HAROLD CARLISLE

Leslie Harold Carlisle, 73, 131 Bonnie Drive Loop, Alburndale, Fla., died at 4 a.m. Friday, Feb 10, in Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Florida.

He was born Aug. 4, 1915, in Scott County, Ind., he came to Chalmers in 1920.  He was a 1933 graduate of Monticello High School and 1937 graduate of Purdue dairy manufacturing school of agriculture.

Mr Carlisle retired from Purdue Research Foundation in 1978. He had worked there for 33 years.

He lived in Tippecanoe County until moving to Florida in 1978.

He was married Sept. 18, 1937, to Beulah Mae Dahlenburg,  in Monticello. She survives.

He was a member of Winter Haven Christian Church, Winter Haven, Florida and formerly attended Monticello Christian Church. He was an honorary member of Purdue Reamer Club and Alpha Phi Omega, Alpha Gamma Chapter at Purdue.

Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Roma Jean Carlisle, Miami, Fla.; one son, Meyer "Mac" Carlisle, LaPorte; two brothers, Kenneth Lynn Carlisle, Austin, Texas and William Robert Carlisle, Chalmers; and three sisters, Mrs Helen Abbott, Monticello; Mrs Ruth Howell, and Mrs Virginia Drake, Monon.  Also two grandsons,  John and Steve Carlisle survive.

Service was today at 11 a.m. in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev Don Arterburn officiating.

Interment was in Bedford Cemetery, near Monon.
