Jessie M. "Yummy" Camp

Jessie M. "Yummy" Camp, 70, formerly of Brookston, died Friday, Jan. 20, at Monticello Health- care Center where he had been a resident for six years.

He was born May 24, 1924 in Brookston to Thomas and Goldie Lear Camp. He never married.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from December 1948 until September 1949.

He lived in Brookston most of his life and was a farm hand for John Ward, retiring in 1980.

He was a member of the Lafayette Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1154.

Surviving are one brother, Pete Camp of Lakeview, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

Four brothers and one sister are deceased.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston.

Burial with military rites was in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston.
