Nina Cain, 86, formerly of Brookston, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, at St. Anthony Healthcare, Lafayette.

She was born Jan. 29, 1913, to Joseph T. and Hattie Goolsbey Sims, at Vernon, Ky.  She was married Jan, 26, 1935, to Clennon Cain, in Tompkinsville, Ky. He died April 6, 1993.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Brookston Church of Christ.

She is survived by a son, Denton Cain, Brookston, a sister, Runnell Clay, Louisville, Ky., a brother, Hugh Sims, West Lafayette, four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

A son, C. Dale Cain, died in 1968.

Funeral services were Friday, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Shannon Toye officiating.

Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens at West Lafayette.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
