Willis B. Cade

Willis B. Cade, 81, Monon, died Monday, Nov. 2, at Monticello Healthcare Center. He had been ill for one month.

He was born April 11, 1917 to Edward Byron and Lena Elizabeth Krueger Cade, in Worthington. He was married Sept. 8, 1940, to Dixie Ann DeVault, in Monon, and she survives.

He graduated from Wolcott High School in 1935.

He lived most of his life in the Monon community.

He was a farmer all of his life and worked for 25 years as a North White School Corp. bus driver.

He was a 50-year member of the Guernsey Church of the Brethren.

He was a 50-year member of former I.O.O.F. Lodge in Monon.

Surviving with the wife are three daughters, Willcina Tiede, Guynith Hornback and Millena  Eckert, all of Monon; a brother, Merle E. Cade of Huntington, Calif.: a sister, Margaret Jarrett of Knox; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A sister and a great grandchild is [sic] deceased.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in the  Kellogg Funeral Home, Monon, with the Rev. Janet Hildreth officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Bedford Cemetery.
