Mellie
Lou Buscbman, 68, a resident of Monticello Healthcare Center, died Wednesday,
March 31, at the center. She had been ill for five years.
She was born Oct. 9, 1929, to Archie Dean and Ruth L. Ogborn Brown, in Monon. Her stepfather was Floyd J. Brown. She married Harold Buschman in Monon, on October 4, 1952 and he died August 9, 1996.
She was a homemaker and had been a bookkeeper with Buschman Fertilizer of Reynolds for three years.
She had lived in Monticello for 20 years, moving from Reynolds, where she had resided for 31 years.
She was a member of Reynolds United Methodist Church.
She was a former member of the Monticello Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons, Doug of Reynolds and Ed of Mesquite, Texas; a daughter, Joyce Anne Adamich of Duluth, Minn.; five brothers, John E. Brown St. of Rensselaer; Keith M. Brown of Bulingame, Calif.; Robert E. Brown of Walton, Jack G. Brown of Chicago Heights, Ill., and Dick Brown of Cape Coral, Florida; two sisters, Lorena Johnson and June Jones, both of Monon; six grandchildren and a great grandchild.
A memorial service was conducted at Reynolds United Methodist Church.
Interment was in Bedford Cemetery, Monon.
Kellogg Funeral Home, Monon, was in charge of arrangements.
