Douglas W. Burns, 51, of Arcadia, FL., died May [sic] 20, 2004, at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL.

He was born January 30, 1953, in Logansport, the son of Clarence and Ina Marie Zootman Burns. They survive.

A construction worker, he served in the U.S. Army as a Spec. 4.

He bad lived in Arcadia for 5 years, moving there from Monticello, where he had lived most of his life.

He attended Twin Lakes High School.

Other survivors include one daughter, Sarah Burns of Flora, Ind., one brother, Robert A. Burns of New Haven, Ind., and two sisters, Judith Hirt of McSherrystown, PA, and Karen Fountain of Imperial, MO.

One son, Joshua Burns is deceased
