Karl D. Buntin
Karl D. Buntin, 86, of Brookston, died Tuesday, December 14, 2004, in Home Hospital in Lafayette. He had been in failing health for a couple of weeks.
He was born on February 11, 1918 in Brookston, the son of Clarence C. and Ceci1 [sic] C. (Hall) Buntin. He married Anna Pearl Klinkhammer in Lafayette on March 23, 1941. She died January 27, 2004.
He was a lifelong farmer of both grain and livestock and also worked at Fairfield Manufacturinging during his earlier working years.
He was a member of Badger Grove Community Baptist Church.
He was an avid Euchre player who also liked to play croquet and watch Major League baseball and Purdue basketball.
Survivors include his children, Beverly (Ed) Sheets of Monticello, Barbara (Gary) DeLong of Battle Ground, Jack (Karla) Buntin of Wolcott and Jim (Jamie) Buntin of Brookston; a brother Gilbert (Maggie) Buntin of Muncie; a sister, Rosella Vaughan of Lafayette; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A brother, Harold "Pete" Buntin, is deceased.
Funeral services were Friday at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston with Pastor Bob Stokes officiating.
Burial was at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Lafayette.
