Artha L. Gosnell Bufkin, 79, Brookston, died at 7:10 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 2, 1997, at her residence. She had been ill for 11/2 years.

She was born April 6, 1918, to Arthur P. And Vera Clay Neville Gosnell, in Rensselaer. She was married Dec. 8, 1938, to Harley Bufkin, in Fowler. He survives.

She graduated in 1936 from Rensselaer High School.

She moved in 1959 from Rensselaer to Brookston.

She and her husband owned and operated Edwood Glen Country Club in West Lafayette, retiring in 1980.

She was a member of the Remington Christian Church and an honorary retired member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Chi Chapter, Brookston.

Survivors besides her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Sandra Kay) Slusser of Monticello; a brother, Dwayne Gosnell of Arizona; two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased.

The funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 5, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston.

Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery, Brookston.
