Laureen Bruckman, 78 of Monticello died Sunday, April 25, 1999 at Twin Lakes Village in Monticello.
She was born December 25, 1920 in Monon, the daughter of John Thomas and Aletha Bumeta Mcpherson Hann.
She married Herman Bruckman in Beverly, IL on January 19, 1963. He died March 23, 1993.
Mrs. Bruckman was a resident of Twin Lakes Village for about a year. She had lived in Monticello since November 9, 1973 coming here from Kentland. She helped start the Senior Center in Kentland. She had lived in Lowell for some time, when she was a Secretary-Bookkeeper for Thrifty Marta for several years. She had also served as the Activity Director at Monticello Healthcare Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monticello.
She is survived by her step mother, Margie Hann of Monon; two sisters, Gloria Ann Eichelberg of Valparaiso and Kay Britton of Phoenix, AZ.
One niece, Jan Qualkinbush of Monon and two nephews, Dennis Qualkinbush, Newport, KY and Thorn Qualkinbush of Riverside, IL.
One brother, one sister, two nieces and two nephews preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at the Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home in Monticello on Wednesday, April 28, at 2:00 p.m.
Burial will be in the Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo.
Friends may call at the Voorhis Draper Funeral Home from 12-2 p.m. on Wednesday.
