Patsy I. Brown

Patsy I. Brown, 54, 821 W. 225N, Monticello, a former White County official, died Saturday, May 11, at 8 p.m. at her residence.

She had been seriously ill for one year.

She was born March 19, 1937, to J. Ford and Reva Marshall Chamberlain, in White County. She was married May 19, 1956, to Jerry A. Brown, in Monticello. He survives.

She was a life resident of White County and was reared in Chalmers. She was a 1955 graduate from Chalmers High School..

She was a member of Monticello Christian Church and attended Lake Shafer Christian Center. She was a former deaconess and church secretary. She was a member of Delta Theta Tau Beta alumni sorority.

She was an employee at Monticello Post Office from 1967-90. She served as White Co. Recorder from 1974-77.

Survivors besides her husband are two daughters; Becky Jo, Indianapolis and Jacqueline, Monticello; two sons, Dan, Monticello and Ted, Indianapolis; two brothers, Max Chamberlain, Wolcott and Don Chamberlain; Chalmers; and five grandchildren. One daughter, a grandchild and a sister are deceased.

The funeral was Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home, Monticello, the Pastor Nate Pyle and the Rev Don Arterburn officiating.

Burial was in lOOF Riverview Cemetery.
