Caryl A. Brown Nee Ready

Caryl A. Brown Nee Ready, 87, Merrillville, died Thursday, December 13, 2001 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Merrillville.

Her husband Calvin, a son Harry (Janice) Shewmaker of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of Monon; a daughter Nancy Whitcomb of Schererville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, survives [sic] her.

Also surviving are three sisters; Cap Suto of Whiting, IN; Ruby Duffala of Merrillville; Ruth Durkovich of Munster and two brothers; Forest Ready of Gary and Lester Ready of Florida.

A brother, Clayton Ready, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Brown was a very active member of the United Methodist Church of Dyer and Crown Point, a member of the Rebecca Auxiliary of the Odd Fellows Lodge of East Chicago and a registered nurse at St. Catherine's Hospital in East Chicago.
