Thelma J. Broughton, 67 of Burnettsville, died Friday, January 3, 2003 at Twin Lakes Village.
She was born in Lebanon, Mo., on February 24, 1935, to William Henry and Sidney Mae Papen Richardson. She married Darrell Broughton on May 1, 1953, in Logansport. He survives.
She was a homemaker. She had been employed by Logansport State Hospital and RCA.
She was a member of Burnettsville First Baptist Church.
Surviving with her husband are a son, William A. (Michele) Broughton of Auburn, Wash.; daughters, Linda A. Hall of Middleton, Delores J. (Alan) Shartzer of Lewisville, Texas and Kathy M. (Joe) Heath of Brookston; brothers, Clifford Richardson of Lebanon, Mo., and Orville Richardson of Rockford, Ill.; sisters, Edna Vardaman of LaPorte, In., Patricia Kruse of Hazelwood, Mo., and Shirley Willis of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport, with Pastor Michael L. Williams officiating.
Burial was at Davis Cemetery, near Burnettsville.
