Barbara J. Boothby, 72, Monticello, died Sunday, Nov. 21, at Regency Place Nursing Home, Lafayette.

She was born June 22, 1927, to William A. and Helen Marie Tucker Bielfeldt, in Harvey, Ill.

She was a graduate of Thornton High School, Thornton, Ill.  She moved in 1960 from Monon to Monticello.

She had worked in the White County Assessors Office as an executive secretary for the selective service board.

She worked for the State Highway Department for 10 years and then retired.

She was a member of the Crystal Chapter of Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary, Monticello.

She is survived by sons, Bill L. Templeton, Lafayette and Eric G. Boothby, Muncie and six grandchildren.

A son, Robert J. Templeton and a brother,William R. Bielfeldt are deceased.

A private graveside service was held at Homewood Memorial Gardens in Homewood, Illinois.

Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello, was in charge.
