Mark A. Bone

Mark A. Bone, 39, of West Lafayette and a former Brookston resident, died at 7:59 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2001 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He had been a patient there for one week.

He was born in Lafayette on April 4, 1961 to Jim and Beulah Dyer Bone. He married Belinda S. Light at the Indiana Veterans Home Chapel in West Lafayette on April 3, 1992. She survives.

He was a 1979 graduate of Frontier High School. He was a lifelong resident of Brookston, moving to West Lafayette after he was married.

He worked at Indiana Veterans Home in ground maintenance for five years. He then worked for TRW, Lafayette, beginning in July 1999 for 13 months. He also worked in reconditioning at Mike Raisor Ford, Lafayette, and worked for Woods Edge Court, West Lafayette, as maintenance supervisor.

He enjoyed NASCAR racing, fishing and the outdoors and racing radio controlled cars.

Surviving with his wife are his parents, Jim and Beulah Bone of Brookston; daughter, Brandi N. Bone of Rensselaer; stepson, Eric H. Oliver at home; stepdaughter, Trisha (Brandon) Baugh of Brookston; mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Joy and Don Bennett of Lafayette; sisters, Kathy (Dean) Lane of Lafayette and Kelly (Ron) Whiteaker of Brookston; brother, Shawn (Larissa) Bone of Lafayette; his aunt who he had lived with, Maxine Blackman of Monticello; and three nephews.

An uncle, Bill Blackman, is deceased.

Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hartzler Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Lelan McReynolds officiating

Burial was in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association
