Manan Smith Bohart, 87, 405 Wood St., Brookston, died March 2 in Home Hospital in Lafayette. She had been a patient there nine days.

Born June 29, 1905 in Charlestown, she moved from rural Lafayette to Brookston in 1974. She married Charles Bohart on June 7, 1924 in Jeffersonville. He died October 6, 1986.

She was a member of the former Order of Eastern Star in Battle Ground.

Surviving are three sons, Bob and Chuck Bohart of Seminole, FL; and Les Bohart of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs Edith Dockstader of Oswego, IL, and Martha Kesler of Umatilla, FL; seven grand children and 13 great-grandchildren.

An infant son and a daughter, Mrs Virginia Green, preceded in death.

The funeral was Saturday, March 6 at Hartzler Funeral Home with the Rev. H. Ann Smith officiating.

Interment was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette.
